Graphite plates
Graphite plates provide a quick way and easy way to firestop plastic electrical boxes in gypsum board walls. Simply secure the graphite plate to the back of the socket box by mean of a self-adhesive strip. In a fire, the graphite plate expands to fill the plastic electrical box forming a dense char, preventing the passage of fire, hot gases and smoke.
