Biomedicum

Research Institute and Laboratories (Stockholm, Sweden)

Karolinska Institute is an ultra-modern, purpose-built facility for experimental medical research. The new laboratory provides more research space, allowing the Institute to facilitate new opportunities. The experimental research department at Karolinska
Institute needed more advanced laboratories and modern facilities to facilitate their growth.

Karolinska Institute required a new building for experimental research across disciplinary boundaries and for collaboration with clinical research. The new campus building added 65,000 square meters of floor space, making Biomedicum one of Europe’s largest laboratories.
